The earth is the Lord's dejure. The earth is the evil one's defacto

We are told I John 5:19 that “the whole earth lies in the power of the evil one.” Then again, we are told in Psalm 24:1 that “The earth is the Lord’s, and all that it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.” So the earth is presently in the power of the evil one, but it belongs to the Lord.   The earth is the Lord's dejure.  The earth is the evil one's defacto

I know this is an old post but I was looking for a Christian dream interpreter and found you :) I hope you can help..I'm a 14 year old girl and I take melatonin for my insomnia sk that gives me weird dreams sometkems but this was a nightmare! This is copied from what I sent to a friend so it's pretty informal but here it is:
So you remember fezzik the giant or whatever from the princess bride well in the dream he was at some weird house that was my house in the living room and my whole and I were sitting in there talking with him and he was super creepy and I felt so gross being there and then he was said i bet you'd all love to watch me have sex and everyone pretty much didn't react to that but we kinda knew he was aiming it at me because in reality he wanted ne to do it with him but obviously I didn't want to and he knew it so basically he was implicating that he was going to rape me later and no one even cared so I was getting up to leave and I tossed a bowl of something on the table in front of him and it slipped and all the things fell out under his chair and I was just like i apologise and got on my stomach and went under the chair and picked it all up and in the morning I felt like I had actually been raped ..:(
I've never been abused but could you tell me what this means? Thanks!

Dear Anonymous,
Thank you for writing. And wow, I know such dreams must stress you out. If you and I could sit and talk, with God’s help, we would be able to work through those dreams. Because you write to me, I have to assume you have not found a Christian therapist who can help.

So, we will have to do the best we can under the circumstances. When a good therapist helps you work through a dream, they often ask you to take pieces of the dream and dream them again with them, like you are day dreaming. As you do this, you ask the Lord to help you with what you are dreaming. Usually, as you go through this exercise, something will rise in your awareness. Maybe it seems connected and maybe it doesn’t. However, if you keep focusing on what is rising into your consciousness, then you can again ask the Lord to help you understand that. Slowly, bit by bit, you will begin to realize that you are becoming more aware of what the dream is connected to in your waking life. This spiritual exercise of reliving the dream with the Holy Spirit as your counselor, can reveal the meanings quickly to you or sometimes you have to put the dream aside and later some meanings pop into your mind over time.

Keep in mind that even scary dreams are not always negative. Sometimes they can be spiritual dreams helping to sensitize you to something important in your life. These are very helpful if you treat them with the respect they deserve. Once I had a series of some of the most scary dreams in my life. I even woke up screaming. I talked them over with one of my Christian daughters who told me what she thought. It was helpful. Soon after that, I had all the life-changing experiences that I write about on this blog. I know now the dreams were a heads-up, preparing me for what was coming and what would be Satan’s response, and what I was to do to fight back. At the time though, I just thought I was having nightmares. Anyway, the point is, treasure your dreams. Handled right, and they are one of God’s best ways of getting through to you.

At the same time, just to be sure the dreams are not demonic, before you go to sleep each night, command your guardian angel to watch over you. Tell the Lord to make sure you are completely protected. Then tell the Lord you expect Him to explain your dreams, if not immediately, then as soon as possible.

It would be more fun if we were going through this spiritual exercise together. But we can’t. What I can do is to join together with you in your prayers for God to send just the right person across your path to help you do this spiritual exercise I have described above. Just be careful and make sure the person is from the Lord. You don’t want to “cast your pearls before swine” as Jesus warned.

Blessings,

Father Donald Clark
